March Street Pride Group

The group meet on the last Tuesday of every month. If you would like to attend, meet at George Campbell Leisure Centre at 10.00am

The group also enter the Anglia in Bloom competition. In 2013, the group were awarded a Silver Gilt. There were a number of projects that were included including Grays Lane, March Railway Station and Norwood Road Nature Reserve.
The group plant up hanging baskets, trough and barrels throughout the town during summer and winter.

Without the support of other organisations, such as March Town Council, Delfland Nurseries and FACET, to name a few, and residents this would not be possible as these items are funded through donations.

Past projects include maintaining Grays Lane, floral features, litter picking and painting at March Freezer Centre.
The group have held fund raising events at the St Georges Fair and street collections.

In 2013 the group worked with the manager of West End DIY store to improve the front entrance. The probation team helped to clear the overgrown shrubbery and the group planted up new flowers and shrubs to create an attractive area for visitors to the store and passerby's to appreciate.

The group and Fenland District Council's Street Pride Co-ordinator work with pupils from All Saints Academy on various projects. They have helped prepare the allotment area ready for planting and the pond has had a spring clean.
